Amaran Biotech, a next-generation Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), was once again honored with the “Bioprocessing Excellence in Taiwan” award at the 2026 Asia Pacific Biopharma Excellence Awards (ABEA 2026) ceremony held on March 12 in Singapore. This prestigious accolade recognizes Amaran Biotech ‘ continuous dedication and accumulated expertise in bioprocessing, while highlighting the increasing international recognition of Taiwan’s biotechnology industry. Furthermore, Dr. Tessie Che, the retired Chairperson and General Manager of Amaran Biotech, was presented with the “Women’s Leadership in Biologics Manufacturing Award” in recognition of her leadership and significant contributions to the field of bioprocessing.
Amaran Biotech ‘ parent company, OBI Pharma (4174.TWO), was named the “Best ADC Developer in Taiwan.” This award underscores the OBI Group’s capabilities in bioprocessing and manufacturing technology, demonstrating its comprehensive strategic layout within the biopharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing ecosystem. Dr. Heidi Wang, Chief Executive Officer of OBI Pharma and the Chairperson and General Manager of Amaran Biotech, was honored with the “Women’s Leadership in ADC Development Award.”
The Asia Pacific Biopharma Excellence Awards, organized by the internationally renowned consultancy IMAPAC, recognize organizations within the region that have made outstanding contributions to biopharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing excellence. This year, Amaran Biotech emerged as the winner of the “Bioprocessing Excellence in Taiwan” award based on its successful track record of assisting numerous international and Taiwanese new drug clients in completing various complex process services.
